Boys Golf Results
Wayne hosted its annual Harold Maciejewski "Mac" Invite at Wayne Country Club on Thursday. Freshman Dylan Jensen led the team with a personal record low round of 85. He placed 16th overall in the tournament. Colson Nelsen (87) and Caiden Backer (89) also recorded sub-90 rounds for the Blue Devils. Rounding out the Varsity scores were Joseph Woerdemann (101) and Mason Karsky (104). JV competitors were Carter Wiese (105), Landen Roeber (106),and Landen Sharer (111).
The Blue Devils finished in a tie for 6th place overall with a season-low total of 362. Columbus Lakeview won a tightly contested team race with a score of 326.
"I was very pleased with our performance on our home course on Thursday. We beat our previous best team score by 20 strokes, and we had multiple players break 90 for the first time this season. It was a great experience for Dylan to earn his first medal as a freshman." - Coach Andi Diediker
